Justin Geldard is the Principal of Geldard Sherrington Lawyers. He was admitted as a solicitor in Queensland in 2000 and has practised in
Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and, for the last eight years, Hervey Bay.
Justin grew up in Brisbane and attended Ipswich Grammar School. He obtained a double degree in law and business (majoring in banking and finance) from Queensland University of Technology.
As a young boy Justin enjoyed many family holidays in Maryborough. His grandfather, Archie Brown, was a well-respected Maryborough resident for many years and was employed at Hyne & Sons for some forty years. Justin has close ties to the Maryborough/Hervey Bay region and has several extended family members who have also owned local businesses in the area.
Justin is married to Ellen, our office manager, and together they have three young boys. Their two eldest boys attend Xavier Catholic College and both Justin and Ellen are active in the school community and local sporting organisations.
Justin has extensive experience in family law, criminal law and personal injuries.
Trinity McGarvie was invited to undertake a Bachelor of Laws Degree at Bond University on and academic scholarship. She obtained her degree with Second Class Division A Honours in 1999 and has been practising since that time. During her degree she served as a Research Assistant in Corporate Law and Equitable remedies for a Professor of Law at the University. After her articles of clerkship Trinity worked at Legal Aid Queensland in a criminal law defence team before returning to the Fraser Coast in 2003 where she has continued to engage in general practice since that time.
Trinity received her accreditation as an Independent Children’s Lawyer and Separate Representative in 2007 and has been accepting referrals of complex child advocacy matters from the Legal Aid Office since that time.
Trinity has undertaken complex commercial litigation matters and is experienced in commercial practice including leasing, business sales, retail shop leases and retirement villages.
Trinity is a past committee member of the Taylor Street Legal Service and continues to volunteer her time to the service on a pro bono basis providing legal advice.
Trinity is the current secretary of the Fraser Coast District Law Association.
